The Dynamic Math Typing System for Microsoft Word

In recent years I have been giving mathematics lectures using a computer with an overhead projector. During this time, I have developed a system of mathematical typing in Microsoft Word that is fast enough to use while lecturing. Existing tools for mathematical typing (such as Word’s Equation Editor) are too slow for this, or for most day-to-day educational use. This is because they require much mouse manipulation and the transfer of equations back and forth from a special editor to the word processor.
Word itself contains all the tools needed to produce elegant mathematics: The secret is a suite of macros (invoked by special key combinations) which harness the power of Word’s “field codes”. With my template for Microsoft Word, you can type mathematical text almost as fast as you type ordinary text, plus eye-catching special effects.

Demo Version
To install the demo on a computer running Windows 98, run this batch file: MathDotToWin98.bat
To install the demo on a computer running Windows NT, 2000, or XP, run this
batch file: MathDotToWinNT.bat
Instructions for Windows NT-based systems
These batch files will put a Microsoft Word icon on your desktop that will
automatically
load the Dynamic Math Template when it opens Word.
Both
batch files assume you have the WinZip program installed on your machine,
under Program Files, Winzip. You can get this program from http://www.winzip.com/ddchomea.htm
YOU WILL ALSO NEED THE "WINZIP COMMAND LINE SUPPORT ADD-ON"
available from
